CFPA hosted Latinidad en Acción: Arts & Business, a week-long celebration spotlighting Latinx creativity, entrepreneurship, and leadership in the performing arts.
Throughout the week, CFPA opened its doors to the public with classes, workshops, open rehearsals, and community engagement opportunities led by Latinx artists and organizations. These activities will highlight the vitality of Latinx voices and strengthen connections between artists, businesses, and community members.
Free Community Salsa Class with Ritmo Latino Mn. Ritmo Latino MN, directed by Lina Paola Pinto-Pérez, is a Minnesota-based dance company that celebrates Latin American culture through salsa caleña, Colombian folkloric dances, and Latin fusion. With explosive energy, dazzling tricks, and irresistible rhythm, they bring the joy and diversity of Latin heritage to every stage.
Free Community Bachata Class with TC Latin Dance Collective Step into TC Latin Dance Collective's vibrant studio and let the rhythm guide you! Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, their classes offer something for everyone. TCLDC is a friendly, collaborative group dedicated to supporting each other and sharing the joy of Latin Dance. Each week they alternate between Salsa and Bachata, with Rueda included in most classes. Come join!
The celebration culminated on October 10th with a Networking Mixer and Community Forum cultural featuring keynote speakers (Addy Gonzalez, Lelis Brito, Pacha Galaviz), a panel of local business leaders (Ena Castilla, Angelica Bello Ayapantecatl, Lyton Guallpa-Naula, & Korma Aguh-Stuckmayer) and rich conversations about leadership, traditions, and community growth.
Rooted in CFPA’s mission of fostering cross-cultural exchange and uplifting Latinx-owned businesses, this initiative creates space for collaboration, visibility, and community pride—expanding access to resources while honoring the diversity and strength of the Latinx community in Minneapolis.
